For guests coming from Thousand Oaks
Our spa is in Agoura Hills at 5871 Kanan Rd, Agoura Hills, CA 91301. The drive from Thousand Oaks is approximately 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Choose an available service before making the drive; this educational page does not indicate a cupping appointment is available.
What cupping is
Cupping uses cups to create suction on the skin. Dry cupping leaves the skin intact; wet cupping pierces it and draws blood. Those are different procedures with different risks, so ask any provider which technique they use before arranging a session.
The marks and the evidence
Round marks are a skin response to suction. They are not proof that toxins have left the body, and their color does not measure a treatment's success. Tell your health care provider where any marks came from.
NCCIH's cupping overview says cupping may reduce pain, but the evidence is weak. Evidence for other conditions is insufficient. That supports cautious expectations, not a promise of recovery or a cure.
