Swedish-style relaxation and deep tissue are different approaches, and the current menu prices them separately. Book Relaxing Massage for smooth, rhythmic strokes, or Deep Tissue Massage for more sustained, focused pressure. Discuss comfort and pressure with your therapist whichever service you choose.

We are at 5871 Kanan Rd, Agoura Hills, CA 91301, open every day from 10 AM to 9 PM. The current booking system is Booker. Check the service, duration, price, and available start time there before reserving.

Both are excellent. They just do different things. Swedish is the long, gliding, whole-body style that leaves you loose and a little dopey by the end. Deep tissue goes slower and firmer into the specific spots that have been bugging you — the knot under your shoulder blade, the rope of tension that runs up the side of your neck. One is a reset. The other is a repair. Neither is the upgrade.

Relaxing Massage: a flowing session

Relaxing Massage emphasizes smooth, rhythmic strokes. It is the current menu choice for guests looking for a Swedish-style appointment. Choose 30, 60, or 90 minutes and explain whether your priority is a particular area or a broader relaxing session.

Deep Tissue: sustained attention

Deep Tissue Massage uses sustained therapeutic pressure for muscular tightness. It also comes in 30, 60, and 90 minutes, at its own prices. Ask for a comfortable level of pressure and speak up if anything hurts or feels wrong.

Signature: a third choice

Signature Massage is the premium 60- or 90-minute ritual. It includes botanical oils, personalized aromatherapy, hot stones, warm towels, and a steam eye mask. Choose it for those listed rituals rather than treating it as a generic booking that includes any other service at the same price.

Common questions

Before you book

So which one is actually better?
Neither. That's the honest answer, and it's the one we give at the desk every day. Swedish is better for relaxing. Deep tissue is better for a specific stubborn knot. They're not two tiers of quality where one's the deluxe version — they're two different tools for two different jobs. If you leave a Swedish session feeling unwound and a little floaty, it worked. If you leave a deep tissue session feeling like something finally let go in your left shoulder, that one worked too.
Will deep tissue hurt?
There's a difference between good pressure and pain, and a good therapist stays on the right side of it. Deep tissue should feel like a firm, satisfying ache — the "hurts so good" thing — not a wince you're gritting through. If it ever tips into sharp or breath-holding pain, say so and we'll back off. Pain isn't the goal and it isn't a sign it's working. You might feel a bit tender the next day, like after a workout. That fades.
I've never had a massage. Where do I start?
Swedish. Start there. It's the gentler introduction, it's the most common style in the U.S. by a wide margin, and it lets you get comfortable with the whole rhythm of a session — the draping, the face cradle, the quiet — without deciding how much pressure your body can take on day one. Once you know what you like, you can go firmer next time. See our first-massage walkthrough if the whole thing feels unfamiliar.
Can one massage be both?
You can discuss different pressure preferences for different areas with your therapist. Relaxing and Deep Tissue remain separate service types with different prices. If you are unsure which service fits your request, call before reserving so the team can confirm the appropriate booking.
Should I choose the service before booking?
Yes. Relaxing, Deep Tissue, and Signature have separate entries and prices. Select the service you want, then tell your therapist your pressure and focus preferences.
Can I still ask for lighter pressure during Deep Tissue?
Yes. Your comfort matters throughout the session. Ask for an adjustment whenever you need one, and discuss any injuries or medical conditions before treatment.
How do I book?
Book through the current Booker service menu or call the spa. Select the exact service and length you want; each entry has its own price and appointment availability.
